SIAD Engineering, a wholly owned subsidiary of SIAD Macchine Impianti S.p.A, will build a new air separation unit (ASU) at Iwatani Industrial Gases’ site at Jiaxing, Zhejiang, China.
Due to be fully operational in the first half of next year (2022), the 270 tonnes per day (tpd) ASU will supply liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon for Iwatani’s industrial gases business in China.
The design and engineering of the ASU, as well as the procurement of equipment, will be accomplished at the SIAD Engineering centre. Other key components will be manufactured at the company’s factory in Deqing County, Zhejiang Province.
Installation will be carred out in partnership with a local design and construction firm.
SIAD’s latest contract will mark the second merchant liquid ASU the company has supplied to Iwatani; it also marks the fourth ASU that SIAD has supplied in China.
Commenting on the new contract, Claudio Sangaletti, General Manager of SIAD Engineering Co., Ltd. and SIAD Engineering Trading Co., Ltd., said, “In the last year alone, SIAD Engineering (Hangzhou) has grown substantially, having won orders for 8 ASUs.”
“These wins are a result of our strategy to provide the independent industrial gases companies with cost effective, high quality merchant liquid and on-site ASUs, in addition to providing specialised highly engineered gaseous ASUs to customers with unique requirements”
